Try Lofoten : The poet Bjørnstjerne
Bjørnson was one of the first to sing the
praises of Lofoten’s holiday pleasures, and
he was a very well-travelled man, one who
had seen a great deal. In Lofoten he saw
more, «mirages that turn floating
mountains topsy-turvy ahead of you and
behind your back, while whales are at play
and birds are shrieking.»

Try Winter Lofoten & Orcas Program:
Duration: 4 days or more if you would like to spend more time on your trip.
Season: Mid october to mid January - Dates on request

Day1: Individual arrival to Bodø. Overnight and breakfast at Clarion Collection Hotel Grand or similar.

Day 2: Experience the Coastal steamer from Bodø to Svolvær. Overnight and breakfast at Svinøya Rorbuer or similar.

Day 3: Enjoy a full day of Orca Safari. Our safari starts in
the morning at Bacalao, at the Svolvær Centre, with talks
and slides on killer whales. Then we go straight out into
the fjord on the safari boat.
If we're in luck, we may see
the whales' dorsal fins sticking up out of the water.
Finding the whale packs sometimes takes a bit longer.
We fit in with their movements and speeds, studying their lives while interfering with nature as little as possible.
They hunt and eat herrings, with the seagulls joining in.
Sometimes, it happens that the whales get curious about
us human beings, and come right alongside the boat.
Then we get to see whole families of whales, with males,
females and calves. Very often, we also see mighty sea
eagles. The safari day ends as it gets dark and we moor
up at the pier.
Overnight and breakfast at Svinøya Rorbuer or similar.

Day 4: Breakfast before you check out. End of service.
